Last Day of May

Hoping that everyone had a fun filled Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a busy one, some saddness and lots of happy...

Our weekend in reverse.......

Yesterday, we visited the Erie Zoo, it was a HOT day in PA...
90 degrees still at 7:00pm on the way home...
Zoo's Carousel

Sunday, we had the Memorial Service for my Mom, just family, nice service and a family picnic to follow. The grands & greats all decorated balloons and sent them to heaven for Meema, she was flooded that day with love from them.

On Saturday, we moved Austin's furnishings to California, PA, where he will be living and working this summer and his senior year of college.  It is a nice apartment, converted from an old house. I loved the architecture...nice old beveled & leaded glass windows and doors, hardwood floors and honeycomb tiles.

This morning, doing my chores before it gets too hot, high of 94 today...

Blessings for a Blissful Day....

Oh my, Oh my....Sweet, sweet Lecia...

Ya'll know Lecia, yes, Farmhouse Prims, Lecia...

Well, she and I decided to do a little swappin'.  I didn't know so much goodness could come in a Red, White and Blue Priority Mail Box!

The minute I spotted that box, all else was forgotten.
Almost had me some seriously melted ice cream I forgot
to put in the freezer.... !!

Have a look at what Sweet Lecia send to me, and not only sent to me
but,
Made for Me

I can now say that I am the proud owner of Lecia Bonnets,
she made me two!

The fabrics that she chose are perfect, just perfect.  Her craftsmanship is amazing!

This is precious..
Yes, I'm naming her Precious
my new Prairie Doll
Doesn't she look precious to you?

Oh and it doesn't stop there.....

A super Prim Towel

Now, what else can I say but that I am smittin' with all that Lecia was so kind to make for me.  I love every single prim perfect thing and will cherish it always!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
Lecia!

P.S. I have a feeling that as soon as Maygan spots this Slate Board, it's all over.
I'll have new messages everyday,
written on it in her 2nd grade hand...

Lecia's package of handmades will be departing from PA tomorrow.  I hope she loves her goodies
as much as I love mine...

Mornin' Sunshine

Whew, I'm actually glad to see Monday roll around...

Survived the weekend, had lots of fun, sold a few things and got some orders.

Old Fence & Lilacs
just a pretty picture I took this weekend

Maygan enjoying a horseback ride on Saturday

My setup....

Yesterday I mowed and worked at my MIL's, crafted a bit and then enjoyed the evening outdoors.

Make your own Rustic Grilled Pizza for dinner last night, yummo...
Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe I use

1 pkg. dry yeast
1 C warm water
3/4 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 C milk
3/4 Tbsp. Salt
1/2 C Oil
4 C Flour

Mix first 3 ingredients, let yeast get foamy.  Add remaining ingredients, turn out onto floured surface and knead for 5-10 min.  Spread on pizza pan and let rise.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.  Add toppings and bake additional 15 minutes at 400 degrees.

**Note**.... for grilled pizza, I let the dough rise in the bowl after kneading for about 15 min.  I then shaped the dough into thin crust personal size pizzas on a cookie sheet, added the toppings and put the pan on the grill for about 5 min.  After 5 minutes the pizza can be easily transferred to the grill rack for the remainder of cooking time.  It took an additional 10-15 minutes to completely bake.   Grill set at low heat.

Another busy week on the horizon, I will be taking some handmades to the Bazaar downtown, working on swap goodies, and orders.  My brother, sil and nephew will be arriving from VA tomorrow, my niece from NYC and another niece from FL will also be coming in this week.  On Sunday we are having a memorial service for my Mom.

There's never a dull moment around here!

Have a Blessed Week,
Traci

~....Happenings....~

I have been running around like a chicken with her ... you know what cut off!
Bawk..Bawk..Bawk

Could I please have one extra day this week?

I have a show this weekend, nothing big but it takes just as much prep work.  My totes are packed, tables and display are loaded in hubby's truck, just need to grab some handwork to keep my fingers busy.
Friday morning will come early enough....

Maygan was home from school with a stomach bug today.  So in between caring for my her, I set up a PictureTrail...  it's just a mish-mash of pictures.  Some of my makings, gardens, photography, etc.
If you want to visit, here is the link

Hopefully, Maygan will be well and able to go to school tomorrow so I can run to town for groceries, the cupboards are becoming bare (well, not really, I'm a food stockpiler, but bare looking to me)

Oh, and yes, it is still raining
Webs are now forming between my toes

Pictures from the Chainsaw Carving Festival we attended on Mother's Day Weekend..
I am in awe of the art that can be produced with a CHAINSAW, they do use Dremels and such for some of the fine detail

Black Bear
Phoenix Rising
Honey Bear
Diving Otter
Unfinished Lamb

This piece was Awesome!  It was one of many pieces in the auction, proceeds from the auction benefits the local volunteer fire dept.  Sold for $1300.00.

Caricature Bench

It was carved by a lady carver, such detail...

Blessings to all and to all a good night,

This Week's Display Chain is hosted once again by

theme is
Birds, Bees & Flowers

I am taking a bit of a different approach this week, not so prim in nature...but all about Nature.  I love to photograph flowers and birds...the challenge of coming up with a unique shot is something I enjoy.

I hope you enjoy the photos I have gathered over the last week... there are lots of pics, I must have taken close to 150 snapshots over the course of the week...what fun!
