A soggy Blockville Festival

Oh, was our weekend a soggy, cold and windy one.  The Harmony Historical Society's Harvest Festival
went on anyway.  We came home at night, chilled to the bone, soaked to the skin and tired as all get-out!

Our offerings, plus I took a small table of primitives too.

Time to make the donuts....
fried in good old cast iron..

Maygan made friends with the Alpacas
she was so excited to be able to lead them!

It was a bittersweet festival this year for me.  This was a festival that my Mom always did too, she'd sell her handmades, it's actually how we got involved years ago.

To look over and not see her there this year was hard to say the least.
Here she is last year....2010
nephew Travis, mil Gerrie, Mom and sis Terri

This is going to be a trying week for me.  We are coming up on the one year anniversary of my Mom's passing on Oct. 8th.  I sure do miss her, every minute of everyday.

Well, now I need to get to sewing.  I have an order that I am behind on, thank you Alice for being so understanding!

My right arm and hand have been giving me fits since Sunday.  Too much stirring, peeling, and rolling last week.  I don't know how many times it woke me up through the night, throbbing numbness.  It's really quite hard to stitch with numb fingers, LOL...but, when you prick yourself, at least it doesn't hurt.

I also have a thank you post coming for Angie of Lil' Raggedy Angie, more pictures of some great antiques they have on display in the buildings from the festival and a big sale on Fall/Autumn Prims over on my selling blog in the next couple of days.

God Bless,
Traci

As for your Mom, I have been there. I understand exactly what that feels like. There are no words. Only by being there in that place can anyone ever understand. Sending you a hug.
