Primitive Make-Do Linen/Drying/Quilt Rack

What do you get when you combine an Old Crib Siderail, Scrap Wood and a Coat of Paint?

A great Primitive Linen / Drying / Display Rack

This is what I started with yesterday
I had two of the crib siderails, saved from an old crib just sittin' around taking up space
I had planned on making them into trellises for climbing plants

but a better idea finally came to mind

I removed some of the hardware, but left some too....
added some legs for support, nothing fancy, just scraps of wood

and a coat of paint

the end result is a nice Primitive looking display piece

I have some of my Feedsacks displayed on it now
but, I can also see using it to dry your flowers and herbs
or
it would make a nice quilt rack or even a display piece for taking to shows

So, while you're out there junkin', watch for those old cribs, you can usually picked them up
really cheap at garage sales and thrift shops

Thank for Visiting,

  10. Hey Traci, I have a couple of side rails that we put hinges on and used it on the corner of a table at a craft show. I slid some wood through it for shelves. I am wondering if I still have it in Texas? Thanks for sharing.
