My Home

I thought I would give you a glimpse of my primitive home....It seems to be a forever work in progress kind of project and there is never enough time to get everything done..... Hubby and I have BIG plans and most of the materials just sitting around ready to work with but it's finding the time, LOL....

To give you an idea of the layout, our house looks like a traditional 2 story home, but there are actually 4 different levels. The Kitchen and Half Bath are on the lowest level. You climb 4 stairs and the Living, Dining Room and Fireplace are that level. Up another 7 stairs is 2 Bedrooms (the kids) and up yet another 4 stairs is the Master Bedroom, Bath and a small Bedroom we use as an office.
So, are you lost yet, LOL....

Here is the Bedroom....yesterday I tried to lighten things up a bit for Summer with a lighter quilt, etc.

This dresser, which I love, was my Dad's...

And the Wardrobe is a piece from Jimmy's family....

This is a Gathering that displays in the Stairway...

No let's see, we'll go down the stairs to the other Bedrooms' Hallway...

Collection of Wall Baskets...

My old Treddle Singer Sewing Machine

Down the stairs again, this is the Dining Room....I would really like to paint the beadboard....it's washed in a Colonial Blue and I'm just not that big a fan of Blue...hmmmmm....any ideas?

This is the Dining Room side of the Fireplace, it is situated right in the middle of the Living and Dining Rooms...you can walk around it, it's kinda neat but a decorating nightmare....

Oh, yea and look at the beam, Gary the cat thinks it's his giant scratching post....darn cat!

Now, into the Living Room....

One of my old Tables.....yes, I love, love old tables! Don't know why but I do ;)

Oh, looky here, Spencer is trying to take one of his daily naps and I just woke him up...

Well, I'm going to wrap it up there for now......I'll have to get some pics of the kitchen and lower bathroom sometime....

Hope you enjoyed your visit and you are Welcome anytime!
Blessings, Traci

  1. Your home is very charming. I love your prim touches. My favorite is the sewing machine. I want one really bad but haven't found one I could afford. I do have a box like what's covering your machine and it hides my toaster and can opener on my kitchen counter. That is as close as I've come.
