Greetings Prims!
hope your yesterday was filled with lots o' love
This box was wedged between the doors yesterday afternoon
It holds a whole lot of warmth and goodness
I won this old quilt on ebay, it's a cutter but there are many
blocks that I am going to save out of this old loved piece
Look at the Blues!
and the Reds
Softer Reds
I really love old quilts.....and I seem to like the ones that are tattered N torn the best
just means that the old quilt did it's job
Thought I'd share a pic of my finished Rag Rug...
it turned out to be 42" x 26"
(from three flat sheets)
Google Friend Connect is Ending
For now those who use blogger are safe ..but ..come March (next month)...google will be ending
Google Friend Connect which is how many of us follow blogs that are not blogger based. If you want more information ~click here~ to visit Tina's blog
I have installed a new Linky Followers gadget on the right sidebar for those who use Google Friend Connect
and
I also updated to Google+ which is what is going to replace Google Friend Connect that in the end will be phased out all together for everyone. I don't know much about it but it seems more "social" based...as in you can have friends in circles, share photos, etc.
Geesh...I just can't seem to stay on top of all these technological advancements...
So now that my brain if fried at 9:22am..I'm going to do something I understand, LOL
Blessings, Traci
Morning Traci~
ReplyDeleteI love old quilts too. That looks like a beauty!
Thanks for sharing the Google info. I had it on my list of things to check out today. I'm so "technologically" challenged as well! I almost went into panic mode wondering what everyone will do if we can't stay "connected!"
Your rag rug turned out great!
Enjoy your day.
Blessings,
Sheila
I love your old quilts that you ordered. Thanks for sharing about Google, hubby is going to check this out tonight.
ReplyDeleteI also love the rug you made, great job!

Tricia
Eeeeek -- I am probably the most challenged of anyone using a computer!! I don't even know what I have here..... I know I have a 'dashboard', but don't even know how I ended up with that!!
ReplyDeleteI will have to have someone take a look at what I have and give me a hand..... maybe since I don't have a blog, it doesn't affect me?? Oh, dear...... Thanks for the head's up, though, Traci -- at least I know that there may be an issue soon!
Love your quilts and your rag rug! What a great use of old sheets!
Morning Traci..Great Job on the rug... looks great!
ReplyDeleteNice Quilts..I just found a blue one like yours at the thrift store. I use pieces of them in many of my gatherings!
Thanks for the Google info...I to know little about the Technical part of Blog or anything else on the net. Just about the time I learn how to use things like Blogger they up and change it on me...I hate that..if it works leave it alone...LOL..No such luck they always have to mess with it and send all of us into stress mode..
Have a great day doing the things you do understand..HeHe!

Your old quilt is wonderful. Just thinking about its history is fun. You wonder who it covered, and where it has been.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! You sure got that rag rug finished quickly, and it turned out great. Thanks for the info on friend connect too. I'm not very computer savvy, so I hope I can sort it all out.

Hi, Traci:
ReplyDeleteThe rug turned out to be fabulous. I've got to learn the simple crochet stitch so that I can make something gorgeous like that.
You've got a beauty of a cutter. Awesome win there!
I also installed Linky because I follow the Google Blog that has all the news and solutions/improvements on Blogger.
I'm hoping everyone clicks on the Linky for us so that we can all stay together.
Hugs,
Susan
Wonderful cutter quilts and your rug turned out great!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do they always have to change a good thing??? and what is up with the word verifications I have to type them in 4 times before I get them right LOL~but very frustrating when your in a hurry.
