This is my project... I picked this up a few months ago at a thrift shop.
I wish I would have gotten pics of it at the very beginning. It was just a little cupboard, where the large opening is there was a wicker front bin (I removed it)
I striped layers and layers of paint, leaving just a bit here and there.
I removed the top and cut it down, made the sides, front and back pieces yesterday.. Put it together to make myself a Dry Sink!
We got our grubby clothes on and Maygan helped me paint
Painted and waiting til morning to sand
Up and out to the garage this morning I went, just chomping at the bit to get started. I sanded and stained it. Dodged the raindrops to bring it in the house.
I still need to wax it and will make a cheesecloth curtain for the large opening. I haven't yet decided whether to make a backer board for the tall opening or not. What do you think, yes or no?
So, I repurposed this $10.00 cupboard into a prim Dry Sink, I saved all the original hardware, used lumber and paint that I already had, what a deal!
Now........wax it and fill it up!
I love it! Awesome job!!
